Cartwheel Arts promotes social inclusion, cohesion, diversity and regeneration through community participation in vibrant, innovative, high-quality arts projects. We use a wide range of media to initiate, and respond to, project opportunities in Rochdale and surrounding areas, as well as promoting the development of the arts and examples of good practice across the North West.

Link4Life has two main ‘arms’ to the Trust – Arts & Heritage and Leisure & Community Development. They are each managed under a Head of Service but work collaboratively on planning and delivery of all the Trust’s services.

Mimica is working with Touchstones Creative Writing Group to help them raise their profile with this website which is providing a showcase for their work as well as attracting new members and raising awareness of local arts events in and around Rochdale. The web site has been designed from the ground up so that the group can update it with their latest work, news and events, ensuring that it is always fresh and current.

This project is providing a fantastic opportunity to encourage reading, writing and the performing arts, whilst raising the profile of Rochdale as an important centre for the arts.

• Roch Valley Radio is a hospital radio station serving hospitals in the Rochdale, Heywood and Bury areas. It is run by a team consisting mainly of volunteers and broadcasts every day 24/7. Their studios are in Fairfield Hospital, Bury.

  Touchstones Creative Writing Group has a slot on Community Corner which is broadcast monthly at 3pm on a Saturday. You can listen live online.

The Baum, which is home to our regular Sunday night Folk’n Poetry sessions, was recently crowned the best pub in Britain by CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale) – a real success story for Rochdale to celebrate!
